ReMission Foundation Selects its 2022 Recipient

ReMission Foundation will be supporting Cervical Cancer brachytherapy innovation research and development led by Eve McDavid and Dr. Onyinye Balogun at Weill Cornell Medicine.



Dr. Onyinye Balogun is an Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at Weill Cornell Medicine specializing in the treatment of breast and gynecologic malignancies. She is a graduate of Harvard University and Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Balogun initiated her residency training at the University of Chicago and completed her final year at New York University.


Eve McDavid is a Google-trained technology executive and Stage IIB Cervical Cancer survivor. Forever transformed by cervical cancer, Eve is a passionate advocate for women's healthcare access, literacy and equity. As a woman in tech who specializes in complex problem solving, she's joined the World Health Organization's fight to eliminate cervical cancer and is collaborating with Weill Cornell Medicine to modernize treatment devices and expand access to care.
